Preparing for your visit
What we’re doing to keep you safe:
Limiting visitor numbers (maximum of 15 visitors inside the jail at all times).
Providing a physical barrier in our customer service area.
Reduction of seating areas inside the museum.
Encouraging physical distancing.
Staff will be wearing masks if requested by the visitors.
Providing hand sanitizer to everyone coming into the Old Jail.
Increasing cleaning and disinfecting throughout our facility.
What we’re asking of our visitors:
Stay home and book another appointment if you are not feeling well. https://covid-19.ontario.ca/self-assessment/
Book an appointment by calling (613) 675-4381 before you head to the Old Jail.
Only bring the essentials during your visit.
Respect physical distancing of 2 metres at all times.
Practice good hygiene. This includes using the hand sanitizer we provide at the entrance and avoid touching your face. Cough or sneeze into your elbow.
Our goal is to make you feel comfortable and safe during your visit to the L’Orignal Old Jail. The safety of all visitors and staff is our top priority. We are closely monitoring the situation; if additional precautions are required, we will update our website accordingly.
We hope to see you very soon!
