Step Into the Past – Explore Ontario’s Oldest Jail
● Guided Tour ●
Take a guided tour of the oldest jail in Ontario with one of our bilingual heritage interpreters. Tours take approximately 45 minutes.
● Escape Game ●
$20 per person
Form a group of 3 - 12 people and come to play a game where participants solve puzzles to escape from the jail within a time limit.
● Wheelchair Access●
L’ancienne prison de L’Orignal est entièrement accessible aux personnes en fauteuil roulant. La première section est accessible par la porte d’entrée. Pour visiter les blocs cellulaires ainsi que la nouvelle section, les visiteurs sont invités à utiliser la rampe extérieure, qui permet d’éviter les deux marches situées à l’intérieur. Veuillez noter que le deuxième étage de la prison n’est pas accessible au public.
The L’Orignal Old Jail is fully accessible to wheelchair users. The first section may be accessed through the front door. To visit the cellblocks and the new section, visitors are invited to use the ramp located outside, which allows them to avoid the two steps inside. Please note that the second floor of the jail is not accessible to the public.
